That old adage rings particularly true in the field of healthcare, where technological advances allow us to see and even treat structures inside the human body without the need for invasive surgery, while the traditional values of compassion and quality patient care continue to direct our medical decisions.

Our practice came into being in 1974 when one of our founders, Hugh B. Severs II, M.D. and another radiologist contracted Community Hospital of New Port Richey to provide on-site diagnostic services for the hospital's patients. In the years to come, the need or accurate imaging and interpretation was increasing. This fueled the decision of Dr. Severs and Vincent D. Controneo, MD to establish an outpatient imaging center.

The fast paced technological advances of the 80's and 90's brought new imaging modalities, clearer images, and increased speed and portability of information.

Today, Radiology Associates has three locations, offering our community the services of nine radiologists trained in a wide variety of subspecialties, using the most advanced techniques available. Quick results and accurate reporting place important information in referring physician's offices in the shortest amount of time possible. and more than 100 technical and clerical staff continue to provide our patients with care and compassion, transforming what could be a stressful experience into a comforting and comfortable aspect of their medical care.
